Support Our Missionaries

Nick and Isabel

We are the Gaultneys! After just one year of marriage we were called to Guatemala, where we now serve full time at the House of Destiny! We live at the house with all of the littles, and  our primary roles involve maintaining the grounds, driving the kids to school, doctors appointments, and anywhere else, and being a stable presence in the home. As a married couple, we provide a model of a healthy relationship and invite them into a home with a God-centered family dynamic. We desire to teach each child what a family following the Lord looks like, so that they have a new standard, no matter where they go in life! One of our major focuses is to cover each child in prayer when they arrive and continually build them up through praying over their lives and futures. Teaching a child intentional prayer will take the Holy Spirit with them wherever they are.

When I was only 10 years old my family and I moved to Guatemala to become missionaries. As I served alongside my family I learned so much about the culture and the people of Guatemala. I’ve always had a heart for kids and teaching them about God. I am now 22 years old and married. I get to serve as a full-time missionary at House of Destiny. I get to invest in the kids lives in three significant ways:  Spiritually, I get to teach them about Jesus daily in both formal and informal settings. I do devotionals with the younger kids every day of the week. I also help them memorize scripture Physically, I help cook the meals for the kids at the home. Thirdly, I get to invest in the kids through consistently being in their lives. These kids have seen so many relationships end, so showing them that we as a team are there for them in the good and the bad deepens our relationships and opens up conversations about Jesus.   Serving at House of Destiny allows me to use my gifts and pursue God’s vision for my life. Your prayers and support allow me to continue serving the children in House of Destiny full time.

I have been serving part time with House of Destiny since I moved to Guatemala in May 2019. I am 25 years old and originally from Jacksonville, Florida. I am married and we just had our first baby in Summer 2022. I have always loved working with kids and felt a strong call to international missions from a young age. I love being a small part of the life changing work the Lord is doing through House of Destiny. Each day I’m there looks a little different from doing laundry and changing diapers, to helping with homework or special projects that are needed. Such joy comes from seeing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of these kids being met. I do work outside of House of Destiny as an English teacher, so any support I receive means I can spend less time teaching and more time using my gifts to serve this ministry that I love dearly.

It is right and appropriate for me to have this confidence and feel this way about you all, because you have me in your heart and I hold you in my heart as partakers and sharers, one and all with me, of grace
